Up Chic Crick

It's kind of a blah day today. My youngest is sick, although I think he is on the mend. His fever seems to be under control and no longer needs meds to keep it in check. His tummy is still a little uneasy but he finished a full piece of toast this morning. That's more than last night, he couldn't even finish one piece.

I hope the rest of us don't get sick.

Have any of you seen this cartoon show on Disney called Phineas and Ferb? My kids are addicted to it. It's pretty funny. Here's a clip.. btw there's been a marathon on of this this week. My Other Half had the theme song stuck in his head yesterday at work and text'd me just tell to tell me that. When he walked in from work, it was just starting.. kinda funny. At dinner I suggested it should be his new ringtone for our home number.

Part 2:

Here's what happened...

My SIL called tonight to ask me if I would do her a favor.. so I said what's up. Back story: She recently became a Mary Kay consultant and is still in the training phase but is also selling.

So she says, "can you come to this "training" thing with me tonight, we're learning how to interview people to become consultants and whatnot. I'll buy ya a starbucks."

So im like yeah sure ok.. no problem. I had no intention of signing up but she needed me and this is what family does, support one another. So I listened to the whole thing from her director (which btw has only been in for 1 yr and has already gotten the car) and she made it sound really easy and fun. And the consultant start up kit is only $100.. I could get that from my fun money alone.. nothing would come out of the household budget.

So fast forward to coming home.. I walk in he says did you have fun? And I said yeah and he asked what we did, so I told him and I was kind of excited about MAYBE thinking about signing up and seeing how it went.. no real commitment b/c the thing with MK is that they buy back 90% of what you buy should you try it and decide not to do it anymore. Anyway, he got completely negative about the whole thing and basically told me "It's crap you can't do it." CAN'T?? EXCUSE ME?? Who in the world does he think he's talking to?

This is where I went off on him and told him flat out I wasn't asking for his opinion. I was just thinking about it.

I got home round 9:30 or so. I asked him if he wanted to watch our Thursday night show since it's our thing we watch together. This mind you is after I told him I wasn't asking for his opinion.. I was just telling him what we did since he ASKED and all.

Here's the convo:

Me: "Wanna watch "blah blah show"?"
Him: No.
Me: Ok.. how come?
Him: Im watching something.
Me: Whatcha watchin?
Him: Tv.
Me: *sigh* ok.. what is on tv that you are watching?
Him: A show.
Me: Ugh Ok fine.

His show ends at 10 and he walks off. I asked if he was coming back, I THOUGHT he said yes. So Isat down on the couch and waited. After 10 min I got up and went to look for him. I find him in bed. So I was like I thought you were coming back? He says no.. I said oh, I thought you said yes.

He says nothing.

I ask.. are you mad at me?
Him: (insert snarky tone) What would make you think that?
Me: Umm your tone and the way you are acting right now??

He turns over and says NOTHING.

Me: Ok.. whatever.. Im not playing your game.

Shut the light and walked out.

So now of course, being that he pretty much told me no and would not in a million years be supportive, it's making me want to do it even more and work harder than I initially thought I would... JUST to prove him wrong.

Part of me thinks that maybe he feels like I might actually succeed at something b/c what I am doing at the moment  only really makes enough for me to pay a bill or two here and there, that I would figure out I am too good for him and I wouldn't need/want him anymore and I would be ABLE to leave (finances are alot of what's kept me here for this long). He doesn't see that it might actually make it EASIER for us to live. US being the keyword b/c my first thought was not to leave his sorry ass but to help out and contribute more to the financial situation than I already am.

Dude, just face it..you're an idiot.

Sheesh y'all are relentless! Hehe. Sorry it's been so long in between posts.. life just has that pesky little way of getting IN the way of things.

I haven't had terribly much to say that's remotely blog worthy but a few of you were wondering if the hair's grown back lol. I would like to report that yes, the hair did grow back after about 3 days but that for me is a record because I normally have to shave every day.. every OTHER day at the most.

On Friday, I am taking off with the girls for a very much needed escape from life so don't expect anything new until I get back which will be Tuesday, We will be back Monday but I'm not sure what time and I'm sure I will need a vacation from my vacation.. that and I am SO not a Monday person, not just not a MORNING person but not a Monday person.. which I think might actually be worse.

Here's something interesting for ya.. I found this other blog written by an L&D nurse. She hasn't posted since April but she's got months of stories for you to wade through. She's a brilliant writer and an amazing sense of humor.. if you're twisted like me, that is LOL.

I picked up some Veet In Shower hair removal cream at Target tonight. I had been "stocking up" because I was going to go get my legs waxed and you know you have to go in with a certain amount of growth. My Other Half was a little tired of waiting for payday to come so he talked me into trying yet another depilatory cream.

I have very sensitive skin and have had reactions to other products like Nair before, like burning, itching, bumps afterwards. The last cream I tried was the Veet Rasera... you know the ones that come with that little rubber razor looking thing? Well, I put that on my legs and OH MY GOD! It started burning my legs immediately, I could not wash it off fast enough.  So, needless to say I was a little nervous about trying it again. But with this formula I was pleasantly surprised. It didn't burn, it had a very nice smell.. not that strong icky smell, it smelled flowery.

Now, I bet you're wondering.. does it work? Well, the answer is yes it works. One 5.5 oz bottle covered both my legs, my bikini line, and my armpits. If you have more areas to do, I suggest you get 2 bottles. But at least I am very smooth and My Other Half will be VERY pleased.

I'll give it a 9 outta 10 stars.

He calls himself "Dimitri the Lover."  He has been selling a "seduction manual" to men in Toronto on how to seduce woman. He had his medical license stripped for "repeated sexual misconduct" .

My Dad took me out tonight to see Wanted last night.. if you have no idea what I'm talking about, it's the new Angelina Jolie movie where she plays a professional assasin.

Lemme just start off by saying.. save your money.. wait for DVD.

It really wasn't great. It was just OK.  Surprisingly enough neither Angelina or Morgan Freeman's roles were really the main character. Morgan's was more than hers but the real main character was Scottish born actor James McAvoy. James did a pretty good job but the plot was just dumb. It had alot of action, so if you like action you might like it. And it was graphic.

So there you go.. that's my review for the movie Wanted.

Ok, I watched last night and they explained further. First they are given infants for 3 days with the parents lurking nearby, whom can and have intervened at any given time. Then they are given toddlers (LOL!), then preteens, HA! then they get teenagers, and lastly they get to care for an eldery person.

The first day they arrived in their new homes (each couple had a nice house on a cul-de-sac), they were left to their own devices and they got settled in. Then the women were given pregnancy bellies to wear and could only remove them to shower. This one girl refused to wear the belly b/c her boyfriend "laughed at her" and hurt her feelings. LOL!!! I'd laugh too! So, then they were supposed to attend a parenting class and she refused to go. Pitched a fit, locking herself in the bathroom and then got mad at her boyfriend for going to the class without her!!!  You're going to sit there and have a tantrum because you have to experience the joy that is a pregnant belly for umm 24 hours? Grow the fuck up!

Then when they get back from the class they come home to a bedroom full of baby stuff that they have to put together themselves LOLOLOL! Oh my gosh.. I love it. One of the guys told his "pregnant" girlfriend to go lie down and he put the whole nursery together all by himself.. way to go Jordan! I will admit I was impressed with that.

The next day they get their babies delivered, they are given a short manual by the parents and then they are left alone with the babies. I was cracking up at the scenes with Kelsey, Adam and baby Etta though. She really liked him and everytime he made a noise she stopped crying immediately.. Kelsey was gettin pissssssed LOL!!

 Ahh the joys of reality tv, I can't wait to see how the rest of this unfolds.

If you're like me, you frequent alot of different forums. Or maybe just one or two. In any case, from time to time (or rather every day lol) you'll see a post titled with a question.

Now, let me just say before I go any further, that this doesn't really have anything to do with any one forum or person. it's just my random brain and my twisted sense of humor working overtime.

Anyway, so you see these posts titled with a question and usually they are some inane question that you already really know the answer to.. like for example "Am I fat??". Do you ever just want to just answer them with the complete opposite of what they want to hear regardless of what the post actually says JUST because they had to ask? I do ALL the time! I guess it's just that "Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer" type of thing lol. And I guess that makes me a bitch, but ya know what that's ok, I'll live.

I absolutely adore the premise for this show. I will definately be watching. If it makes just one teenager think twice about becoming a parent because they think it's cool then it will be all worth it.

This is perfect timing as this morning I heard about a "Teen Pregnancy Pact" some teens in Massachusetts are making, which really just disgusts me. These girls are setting themselves up for a very hard life, not to mention their babies. And what about the fathers-to-be? Did they know what they were getting into when they hopped in the sack with these girls? I know that taking sex lightly and they made the decision to have sex but did these girls inform their "men" that they fully intended to get pregnant without their knowledge or consent?

I honestly don't even know how to respond to my own questions.. it's just disgusting.
